About MNHS/MAΘ
The Math National Honor Society, or Mu Alpha Theta, is a nationally recognized honor society that encourages outreach and interest in math.
We have general meetings on the first Monday of each month in the Downstairs Lecture Hall that cover a variety of interesting topics. We also have contest meetings every Monday aside from the first where we prepare for math competitions and learn about new concepts. Everyone is welcome to join regardless of math level!
Everyone is welcome to join Mu Alpha Theta! However, the Honor Society requires you to be in Alg II or higher with at least an 80, and you must attend the general meetings.
20 points are required for all MAO members in the first semester! 20 more points are required for second semester, but there are MANY opportunities to gain points. Point opportunities are all listed on the Points page.
